Building a store is a one-off cost. But a store also has monthly costs: the subscription, apps, taking payments. Better to know them in advance than to find out from your card statement.
Let’s go through it all — with real numbers and three ready-made budgets.
In short: the minimum is $29–39 a month for the Shopify plan plus a domain once a year. With Kaspi Pay and a couple of apps, add 30,000 ₸ and $10–40. Support is optional, from 50,000 ₸ a month.
1. The Shopify plan — the core cost
You pay the Shopify subscription to Shopify itself, by card, in US dollars. Paying yearly is 25% cheaper than paying monthly.

- Basic — $39 a month, or $29 billed yearly. Enough for most stores starting out: catalogue, orders, discounts, shipping, reports.
- Grow — $105, or $79 billed yearly. When a team works in the store and you need detailed reports.
- Advanced — $399, or $299 billed yearly. For large stores with high turnover.
There’s also Starter at $5, but it isn’t a full online store — only selling through links and social media. And Shopify Plus is for very large businesses, from a few thousand dollars a month.
Our advice: start with Basic. You can move to a higher plan at any time without rebuilding anything.
2. Domain
Your store’s address — for example, yourbrand.kz or yourbrand.com. A .kz domain is bought from Kazakhstan registrars; a .com can be bought right inside Shopify. You pay once a year, not monthly.
Already have a domain? We’ll simply connect it to the store.
3. Theme
Shopify has free themes — you can build a good-looking store without paying for design at all. Paid themes are a one-off payment, usually a few hundred dollars — not a monthly cost.
4. Apps
Apps add what Shopify doesn’t have out of the box: reviews, filters, promotions, integrations. Many are free or have a free plan; paid ones usually cost $5–30 a month each.
This is where it’s easy to overpay without noticing: five apps at $15 is already $75 a month. So we install only what’s truly needed and regularly check what the store actually uses.
5. Taking payments
Shopify Payments isn’t available in Kazakhstan, so how you take payments matters:
- Bank transfer or cash on delivery — Shopify charges no fee.
- Kaspi Pay via our integration — Shopify charges no fee here either. Our service is 30,000 ₸ a month, plus the bank’s fee under your Kaspi contract.
- Third-party payment gateway — Shopify adds 0.6–2% on every order on top of the provider’s fee.
More on each option in “Shopify Payments isn’t available in Kazakhstan”.
6. Support — optional
New products, promo banners, edits on the site — you can do this yourself or hand it to us. Support packages start at 50,000 ₸ a month; details on the pricing page.

Three ready-made budgets
Minimum. Basic plan ($29–39 a month), a domain, a free theme, payment by transfer or on delivery. Good for launching and testing demand.
Standard. Everything in Minimum plus Kaspi Pay (30,000 ₸ a month) and one or two paid apps ($10–40). This is how most stores that sell every day run.
Worry-free. Everything in Standard plus our support — from 50,000 ₸ a month. You focus on products and customers; we handle edits, banners and new products on the site.

And what does the store itself cost
Everything above is monthly. Building the store is paid once: Start — from 350,000 ₸, Business — from 650,000 ₸, Brand — from 1,200,000 ₸. What each includes is on the pricing page.
